Original Swiss Rösti

The original Swiss specialty. The perfect side dish or main course made with Swiss grown potatoes. Easy preparation requiring no additions of oils or seasonins. Just fry till golden brown and enjoy!

Rösti or Röschti (potato pancake or hash browns) is a Swiss traditional dish consisting mainly of potatoes, in the style of a fritter. It was originally a breakfast dish, commonly eaten by farmers in the canton of Bern, but is now eaten all over Switzerland and around the world.

Directions:
Place the content of the package in a coated frying pan without addition of any oils or fat. Loosen them with a flat wooden spatula and fry over medium heat for around 7-8 minutes until golden. Form then into a flat round cake form approx. 3-4 cm in thickness. From time to time press the Rösti a little. Flip the Rösti cooked on one side with the help of a plate or a lid and slide back into the pan until also the other side is golden brown. Preparation time 12-15 minutes

Storage: Store in a dry and cool (15 - 17°C) place away from sunlight. Refrigerate after opening and consume within 2 days.
