Swiss House Shop - Proud Sponsor of the Lantau Boat Club

Based at the end of Discovery Bay beach, Lantau Boat Club caters for non-powered water sports, specifically sailing (catamarans and dinghies), paddling (outrigger canoes, surfskis, kayaks), and coastal rowing (singles, pairs, quads). Located on a gently sloping sandy beach, it is an ideal location for sailing, paddling, and rowing in the warm waters of Hong Kong.

Run entirely on a voluntary, nonprofit basis, the club has space for roughly 70 sailboats, with secure storage for sails. Catamarans are the most popular type of boat, and the club has a large fleet of Dart 18s, Hobie 16s, and Formula boats (F18s and F16s). We also have many social members who join us for our races.

Club sailing races take place every other weekend in the waters surrounding Lantau island, usually following the format of three races back to back. Other activities include social sails and cruises, where family members may come along by junk, usually including a barbeque or meal in a friendly local restaurant. The emphasis is on keeping LBC a highly sociable club. The Lantau Boat Club is proud to boast the most convenient sailing location, most events, and strongest ties with the community.
