Feldschlösschen is the biggest brewery in Switzerland and was founded on February 8, 1876, by the brewer Theophil Roniger and the farmer Mathias Wüthrich. The brewery is in the shape of a castle and Feldschlösschen means 'small castle in the fields' in German.
This refreshing beer from the Feldschlösschen brewery in the city of Rheinfelden in the Canton of Aargau is a well-balanced lager beer. The tangy hops taste and the beautiful aroma make this a favorite among Swiss beers.
Although the Swiss drink also a considerable amount of beer every year, red and white wine consumption still tops the list of alcoholic beverages consumed per capita and year. More than one third of all beer consumed in Switzerland is brewed at the Feldschlösschen – 'Cheers'; ‘Prost’; ‘à votre santé’, ‘Salute’; and ‘Eviva’
